Poet / Hip-hop artist extraordinaire Shihan has been featured
on multiple episodes of HBO's Russell Simmons Presents
Def Poetry and also serves as Talent Coordinator for
the show. He was recently featured at the HBO Comedy Arts
Festival, The Essense Music Festival (in which he opened for
Alicia Keys) and the Soul Beach Music Festival (in which he
opened for Musiq Soulchild.) Shihan has been co-hosting Da'
Poetry Lounge, the nation's largest open mic in Hollywood
for the past 7 years and is currently touring as a cast member
in the Def Poetry Jam 3.0 International Tour. This very busy
man is also the official producer of Word Fest at the next
Pan African Film Festival (the world's largest and most prestigious
black film festival), and is currently working with rap legend
KRS-One on soon-to-be-released tracks.
